===== Catalogue: Adding and Removing from Existing Packages =====

Unlike **Lists and projects** which record their contents using criteria, and are therefore dynamically updated, the **Package** system only contains those items which have been specifically placed within them.

While most packages are populated using the [[PergamonMystic:linkedhelp:bison_package_manager|Package Manager]], there occasionally comes a time when an item needs to be added to or removed from a package in normal, everyday operations. Rather then using the full **Package Manager** for this process, to search out first the package and then item, it is possible to perform these tasks quickly from the **Catalogue Manager** **[BISON]** toolbar tab.

==== Adding an Item ====

To add a selected item to a package, change to the **[BISON]** toolbar tab then click the **[Add To]** toolbar icon in the **[Package]** toolbar group to display the list of current item packages available to receive the item. Click the package in the list that should receive the item - the item is attached to the package.

==== Removing an Item ====

To remove a selected item from a package, change to the **[BISON]** toolbar tab then click the **[Remove]** toolbar icon in the **[Package]** toolbar group to display the list of item packages to which this item is //currently// attached. Click a package name in the list to remove the item from the package.
