Check For Updates
The Check For Updates menu option allows suitably authorised users to check for minor updates of Pergamon Mu components, such as reports, themes and language files.
On selecting the functional, Pergamon contacts the main Esferico ltd. website and requests the current Manifest of available updates on the system.
Updates listed in GREEN are updates which are recorded as already having been installed.
Updates listed in RED are updates which have not yet been installed.
Installing Updates
In order to install an update, select the line in the list and click the [Install] command button. The process is always automated, and will inform the user when it is finished.
Note: Always make a backup of your system before installing updated. While updates are extensively tested before being made available, many issues are able to take place outside the control of Pergamon, such as network and power failures.
Note: As some updates modify files that are read only once on login, it is advised that after the use of this functional area that you log off, close Pergamon and restart so that any new files can be read correctly.
