====== Resizing an Index Card ====== {{:lostplot:manual:indexcard_0001.jpg?400 |}} By default, all cards are created as being 250x250 pixels in size. This is regarded as the //normal// dimensions for the card. For many browsers, this is enough to place between 3 or 4 cards across the screen. If you are using a higher resolution monitor, or a large monitor such as with a 4K resolution, this number may be many more. You may therefore, wish to increase the size of a specific card. You can do this using the various sizing icons around the edge of the Index Card. The Increase / Decrease Width ( **[↤]** and **[↦]** ) and the Increase / Decrease Height ( **[↥]** and **[↧]** ) icons re-size the current index card by 25 pixels at a time, on an //individual card// basis (i.e. the other cards retain their own individual dimensions). By using these icons, the new width and height become the //normal// width and height for that card and are updated and re-loaded whenever the project is closed / opened. Applying a temporary size change (see Single Card Row and Double-Size, below) and then removing it will return the card to the last //normal// size set by these icons and not the default 250x250 pixel initial card size. ---- ==== Double-Size Index Card ==== {{ :lostplot:manual:indexcard_0002.jpg?200|}}The double-size icon **[⇲]** (**[⇱]** when toggled) in the bottom right hand corner of the index card toggles between the current normal size of the card (250x250 pixels, if unmodified) and 500x500 pixels. This size increase is intended for the temporary viewing of more of the __Summary__ field of the card, during initial development. It is recommended that the card is toggled back to its normal size for proper understanding of the card matrix. ---- ==== Single Card Row ==== {{ :lostplot:manual:indexcard_0003.jpg?200|}}Some browsers are smaller than normal - this is very common on tablet computers which may have smaller screens or smaller resolutions. You can better take advantage of these screens by using the [Spacing] toolbar icon in the [Cards] toolbar tab, which toggles the display between the normal matrix (many cards horizontally and vertically) and a single card to each row, effectively resulting in all cards stacked vertically on the screen. This mode is particularly useful on smaller screens when the __Document__ pane is also being displayed. ---- {{:logo.png?nolink |}}\\ [[:start|Pergamon Wiki Home]]\\ [[LostPlot:home|LostPlot Home]]\\
