<hidden My barcodes have too few digits when I scan them>
Different systems have different ways of dealing with padding 0 characters (the most common of these problems), so you need to pad out the barcode once it is scanned. \\ \\

As a Managerial User, go into Lookup Manager and scroll down to the System Information section. In here you will find two settings:\\ \\

  * Barcodes: Minimum reader barcode length
  * Barcodes: Minimum item barcode length

Select which one is giving the problem, enter the **total** required number of digits in the 'Value 1' field and save the setting back into the database. So if the barcode needs to be 4 digits, even if only 1, 2 or 3 are scanned, enter '4' as the required value.\\ \\

(Remember, if you are principally using the Issue & Return feature on the main workspace page, you may need to log out then in again to have the new setting refreshed).
