====== Using Paging ======

The **Paging System** is designed to allow you to limit the number of items that appear in the left hand list without implementing a filter, but also applies to a filtered list as well. This is so that any filtered or unfiltered list which is excessive in size can be managed so as to limit scrolling or save resources in a slow workstation.

In order to use Paging, select [**Info**] > [**Options**] > [**Page Listing...**] then select to view All, 50, 100, 250, 500 or 1000 records at a time.

  * If **All** has been selected, the listing will display all of the items in the filtered / unfiltered selection, provide a count of how many records were found and selection is only possible by scrolling up and down in the list.\\ \\

  * If any **numeric** option is selected, the listing will display only that number of items from the filtered / unfiltered selection, provide the current page number and total number of pages available, as well as display [**back**] and [**forwards**] navigation buttons in the toolbar to move forwards and backwards through the pages.\\ \\

**Note** - When using the paging system, it is far better to have **Flat** display turned on as the display of hierarchical Series folders can be confusing.
