When a Writer dialog is first opened, it is populated with the Content of the Index Card from which the Writer was requested. This content can be edited and updated.

Rather than close the Writer and then open a new writer on a different card, the author is able to move back and forth between displayed Index Cards directly from the Writer itself using the [Previous] and [Next] toolbar icons.

Changes that have been made to the content are automatically updated in the database when these navigation methods are used as long as [Auto-Save] is turned on.
