In order to start the LostPlot content editor, click the [📇] icon on the right hand side of the Index Card title. This will start a Writer dialog, initially loaded with the Content of the currently selected card.

it is advised to use a Writer dialog to develop the final authored Content text rather than the Details editor as the Writer provides additional facilities to assist in this process, as well as auto-updating of the Document pane.

Further details in the use off the Writer dialog can be found in the Writer sections of the manual.

The Writer also respects the Auto-Save Content option, and will update the database in real-time (i.e. not just when the dialog is closed) as changes are made.
