The Redundant Items utility is available from the Catalogue Items Manager and the Readers Manager in the [Tools] toolbar tab of each. It is intended to find and merge redundant catalogue items or readers, such as those which may have been created twice on the system.
The duplication check is made as soon as the dialog is displayed, with the results of a report that none could be found being made automatically. At the time of writing this time, the checks are based on:
In order to merge items or readers, select all items required so that they are marked with a green-tick then click [Merge]
